The sign up process for the free membership is a little bit long. You have to go through a series of questions just to get access, then after you log in you have to answer a few more. It wasn't too painful, but it was a little longer than I would have liked. That said, the site is worth the wait. There are a nice amount of members and your free membership will allow you to search and look at the profiles. You can do basic searches which allow you locate members by age range and distance from you and you can do advanced searches which allow you to better match people with you based on their profile answers. The site also has some great bonus features like chat rooms, user forums and the ability to send instant messages to other members who are online when you are. These bonus features do require you to get a paid membership to use them.

Overall, this is a really nice site for the right person. They have a good amount of members, some really nice features and an easy to use site. The price is very affordable and the slight drawback of the long sign up process is not really that big of a deal. If you are looking for an African American to date or get to know, this is a great place to start.
