They do ask a lot of questions as you sign up for your free membership, but you can skip most of them if you want. Inside the site is a well laid out member's area that is very simple to navigate and use. You can search for members or see who is online right then.

The potential problem with this site is that it is very global and the number of members in your area could vary greatly depending on where you live. For example, I did a search for my city and only got 10 members. I did a search for my whole state and only got 22. When I did a search for all of California I got 350 members. A search for all of China brought back several thousand. I would assume there are a decent number of members here for whom English is not their primary language. The sign up process even asks your fluency level for both English and Chinese. In addition to the profiles there are chat rooms, user lists and forums and you can send instant messages to other members who are online right then. Most of these features will require you to get a paid membership, the free membership just lets you do searches and check out profiles.

Overall, this is a nice site with some really good features. How well it will work for you depends wholly on where you live. If you are in an area where there are lots of members, you are in luck. If you aren't, the site won't be of much use to you. I suggest that if you have any real interest in the site you get a free membership and then do some quick searches. You aren't out any money and only a little time and you never know who you might find.
