Date.com is a dating site that covers a wide range of people from all over the place. The site does have members from all over the globe, but there are a ton of them from the USA alone. The process of getting a free membership is pretty involved. You have to answer a lot of questions and it takes some time to get through it. Once you have it done you are taken to a very well designed member's area. Your free membership will allow you to do searches and browse the other people's profiles. A quick search of my area brought back several hundred results and a search of my whole state have over 1,000 results. So there are plenty of people on here to contact.

You can do basic searches which gives you results sorted by age range and distance from you or you can use the advanced search and match yourself to people based on many different variables. Something I really liked was that you can save your searches. Once you fill in all the details on the advanced search form you can save them and not have to do it again. There are also some other nice bonus features like chat rooms, an advice webzine and the ability to send token gifts and flirts to other members. These bonus features will require you to get a paid membership.

All in all this is a very nice site. There are a ton of members, some great features and the site is very easy to use. I was a little put off by the length of the free membership sign up, but it isn't a big enough deal to overshadow the rest of the site. As general dating sites go, this is a really nice one and is well worth checking out.
