Davis Singles is a dating sites for all people associated with the University of California, Davis. Students, staff, alumni and friends can all join the site and meet other singles in the area. This is a site that has a very specific audience. If you live near the school ore are involved with it then you should find the site to be very useful and good. If you don't then you probably won't. The reason for this is that almost all of the 2,000 members in this site live in the general area of the university.

Those that decide to give it a try will find a nice, easy to use site with a free sign up process that is fast and easy to complete. Your profile can have a lot of detail in it, but they let you skip most of that when you sign up and let you fill it in wherever you want. I love that feature because I like to check out a site and see how it is before I spend much time working on my profile. You can search the member profiles by age range and distance from you or you can use the Super Match feature which will use the details from your profile to match you with someone. You can search and look at profiles with your free membership, but you will have to get a paid membership if you want to contact someone directly.

The site does lack any other real features. There are no chat rooms, no instant messaging or really anything else. The site is profiles and that is all. This is a let down because the better dating sites out there these days are giving members access to all kinds of cool features.

I gave the site a low score based on two criteria. First it lacks any extra features and second it is very location specific. Anyone living near the university may find this site to be very good and useful. For those in that situation, ignore my score and give this site a look. If you are not in that area, then the site is not really going to be worth your time.
