Democrat Singles is a dating site that is for liberal and democrat minded people. The site has members from all over who share a common mindset when it comes to politics and social ideals. You can get a free membership to the site, but the signup process can take a while. There are a lot of questions to answer as you sign up a free membership, which I didn't like. I want to be able to get inside a site and see if it is any good before I spend the time filing in the details on the profile.

That said, it is the details that help this site out. There are no bells and whistles as far as extras go so finding like minded people relies on the search engine within the site. You can do a basic search which just finds people by age range within a certain area of your house or you can use the more advanced search which compares the details and answers of your profiles to others to better match you up.

While the site is easy to use and has some nice search features its main drawback is that it appears to be pretty new and doesn't have a whole lot of members. I did a search for my area and it only returned 29 members within 100 miles of my zip code. I live right next to not only a big city, but one of the most liberal and democratic cities in the nation, so I was expecting a lot more than 29 results. At least half of the people it returned were 15-20 years older than me as well. So I think the site is still pretty small. It is probably growing, and since you can check everything out with a free membership you can always give it a try and see how it works for you. You only have to pay if you actually want to contact someone so it might be worth waiting for its growth.
