Fitness Dates

Fitness Singles is a dating site that helps people who love fitness connect. The site is very easy to use and I found the sign up process to be nice and easy. Once inside I was able to get right to searching for other members and that is where I discovered a few issues. First, there don't seem to be a whole lot of members in the site. A search for members within 150 miles of me returned 41 members. Expanding that search out to 1000 members kicked it up to 440, but that isn't that many considering the size of the search area. Another thing I noticed is that several of the people with pictures were clearly not in shape. Maybe they are on the site to meet someone to help them get in shape, but for me it was kind of a let down because I would assume if you were on a fitness dating site you would be fit.

All that said there are some good features to the site. There are basic and advanced search options which let you either search by age group and distance from you or you can use some more specific criteria to conduct your searches. There is also a chat room and you can send instant messages to other members that are online at the same time you are. You can do searches and browse the profiles with your free membership, but if you want to use the chat features or contact anyone directly you will have to get a paid membership.

In the end this is a pretty average site. If you happen to live in an area where there are a large amount of members the site will be of more use to you than others. It is easy to use and has some nice features, but it does have some drawbacks as well. You might try doing a free search on the site and go from there, at least then you can see how things look in your area before you spend any money.
