Husky Singles

Husky Singles is a dating site dedicated to helping bring the single students, staff and alumni of the University of Washington together. The site has a nice clean design that makes if very easy to navigate and getting a free membership is a fast and simple process. If you want you can fill in all the details on your profile when you sign up, but they also give you the option of skipping that. I like when a site does that because it gives me a chance to give the site a good look before you spend the time filling out the full profile and in the case of a site like this it might be an idea you would want to consider. The reason I say that is that this is a very localized site. About 95% of 3,500 members live in the Seattle, Tacoma area near the university. If you happen to live in that area the site could work well for you, but if not it probably won't.

The features in this site area basically narrowed down to just the search options. You can do a normal search which allows you to search by age range and distance from you or you can use the Smart Match option which takes the details from your profile and uses them to better match you with someone. You can search the profiles and look at other people's profiles for free, but you will have to get a paid membership if you want to contact anyone directly.

As I mentioned previously the search is really the only feature on this site. There are no chat rooms or forums or instant messaging which is a let down since many dating sites offer that now.

I scored this site on the low end primarily due to the fact that it is a very localized site. If you don't live in the right area the site won't be of any real use to you. That said, if you do live in the area that the university is in, then this is a site you should give a look because it has a good number of members in one small area so you have a decent chance of meeting someone to hook up with.
