Metro State Singles

Metro State Singles is a dating site that brings those involved with the Metropolitan State College of Denver together. Signing up for the free membership for this dating site is very quick and easy. While your profile can have a lot of detail in it, you are allowed to skip filling in most of that at sign up and can fill it in later if you wish. I like that feature and I also like that this site has a very clean and easy to use layout. The problem I can see with this site right out the gate is that its membership is concentrated in the area around the university so anyone not living in that area will find little or no use for this site.

If you do live in the area near the university and give this site a try you will find the search options to be very good. There is a basic search which allows you to search based on age range and distance from you (down to within five miles of your zip code). The Smart Match option is an advanced search that allows you to use the details from your profile to match you with others. You can use both of these search options and you look at people's profiles for free, but if you want to contact them directly you will have to get a paid membership.

As far as extra features go, there are none. This site focuses on the profiles and the search, but don't expect any kind of chat or instant message options.

Overall, I scored this site low because it is a very localized site with all the members in one area and it lacks many of the features other dating sites now offer. For most people this site will not work at all. That isn't to say it is a complete waste of time. For the right person, living in this area, this is a site worth checking out because it does have a centralized group of members who all have the school in common. If that is you, ignore my score and give this one a look.
