Panther Singles

Panther singles is a dating site primarily meant for the students, staff and alumni of University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee. You don't have to be involved with the school to use the site, but almost all of the members in the site are involved with the school and live in the general area of the school so if you are not in that area than this site will be of very little use to you.

I found signing up for the site to be an easy and fast undertaking. There are a lot of details you can fill in on your profile, but they let you skip most of that stuff at the start and allow you to go back and add it later. Inside you will find a very stripped down and easy to use site that has two basic search options. You can search the members of the site based on age and distance from you (down to within five miles of you) or you can use the Super Match advanced search. The Super Match option takes all of the details you have filled in on your profile and uses them to better match you with different members. You will need to fill in your profile to use this feature. You can search the site and look at other people's profiles for free, but if you want to contact someone directly you will need to get a paid membership.

As far as features on the site go, the search options are it. There are no chat rooms or user forums as well as no instant message options. With so many dating sites now offering these I was a little disappointed to see them not offered here.

For me this site comes down to location, location, location. I gave it a pretty low score because most people are not going to be located near the university so they will find no members in this site near them. Add in the lack of features and it makes this site pretty useless for most of us. That said, if you live in the area of the school or you are affiliated with it then ignore my score and give it a shot. Since you are local you will find all the other members of the site local too which increases your chances of finding someone near you to hook up with.
