Pomona Singles

The students, alumni and friends of California State Polytechnic University at Pomona can use the dating site Pomona Singles as a way to meet and hook up. The site has a nice simple design and is very easy to use and sign up for. Getting a free membership is fast and in no time you will be inside the site searching the member's profiles. With over 1,000 members the site has a decent amount of people using it, but almost all of them are in the Pomona area so if you are not in that area, then this is a site that you probably will not find much use for.

Searching the profiles is a snap. You can use the basic search engine which allows you to select a distance from you and an age range then it gives you the results within those parameters. There is also a second option called Smart Match. This option takes all the details from your profile and uses them to match you with others. When you sign up for the site you can skip most of these details so if you are like me and did skip them you will need to go back and fill them in before this feature will be of much use to you. Searching and looking at member's profiles is free, but if you want to contact someone directly you will have to get a paid membership.

While the search options are great, they are the only real features of this site. There are no chat rooms or instant messaging options and there are no interactive forums or anything like that and this was kind of a let down.

How well this site will work for you ultimately will be determined by where you live. If you live in or near Pomona this is a site that should work well for you because there is a nice collection of people near you. However, if you don't live in that area the site will not be of much use to you at all. Since most people will not live close enough to use this site I scored it low, but if you are near the right area, give it a shot, you should like what you see.
