Rebel Singles

Rebel Singles is a dating site focused on helping the single Rebels of the University of Mississippi get together. The site has a nice looking design and is easy to navigate. I also found signing up for the free membership to be a quick and easy process. The profiles in this site have a lot of details in them, but you can skip most of that when you sign up and fill it in later. All this said, there is a problem with the site that will derail it for most people. About 95% of the members of this site live in or around the University. If you don't, you can still use the site, but there will probably not be any members near you.

If you do decide to use the site you will see that finding members in the site is an easy process. You can do two different types of searches including a basic search which allows you to search by distance from you and age group. The second search option is more advanced and is called Smart Match. This option takes the different details from your profile and uses them to match you with other members. To use this feature you will need to fill in the details of your profile.

As nice as the search options are, they are the only features this site has. There are no chat rooms or blogs. There are no instant message options or user forums. Many dating sites are now offering these types of features so I was let down to see that this site does not.

When it comes right down to it most people out there will get very little use out of this site which is why I scored it low. However, if you live near the college then you should give it a try. Searching the site and looking at profiles is free (you only have to pay if you want to contacts someone directly) so you can check it out and see what it about without spending a dime. Add in that all the members are going to be near you and the site could work out well for you.
