Scuba Diving Singles is a dating site for people who are interesting in meeting others with a love for scuba diving. The site is well constructed and easy to navigate. It also allows you to get a free membership to the site, but the sign up process is a little bit lengthy for my tastes. I prefer to be able to give the minimum information up front, then once I have seen the site and decide I like it and want to use it I can go back and fill in the rest of the profile. The strength of this site does come from its profiles. It lacks many of the extra features bigger dating sites have like chat rooms and forums, instead choosing to focus on matching people primarily through their profiles. You can do a basic search which allows you to search by age range and distance from you or you can do an advanced search which uses the answers from your profile to better match you with other people.

Potentially, one of the drawbacks of this site is that people in areas that are colder and not regular dive locations might find fewer people than in other places. I live in a colder climate city and only found 16 matches for my area. Also, the site doesn't seem to have a lot of profiles to begin with. I would assume it is always growing though so that will probably change over time. As you might think, this is not a site that is for everyone, but divers especially in dive friendly areas may find it useful. Your free membership does let you browse the site and fill out a detailed profile. You can also browse all the other profiles. You only have to pay if you want to contact someone so you aren't out anything to give it a try.
