Single Bobcats

Single Bobcats is a dating site for the single students, staff and fans of Ohio University. With around 6,000 members there are plenty of people to check out and meet if you live in the right area. If you don't live in the right area, you are out of luck. The membership is almost an even split between men and women, but almost all of them live in the general area of the university. You don't have to live there or be involved with the school to use this site, but if you don't live in the area understand that there is a strong chance you will not have any members near you.

Getting your free membership to this site is a fast, easy process. Your profile can be very detailed if you want to take the time to fill in everything. Luckily, they don't make you do that when you sign up. Once you have a membership you can use the search engines to sift through all the members and find someone you like. The basic search engine allows you to search by age range and proximity to you. The advanced search engine, called Smart Match, uses the details from your profile to match you with like-minded people. Something I really liked is that your free membership will allow you to create a profile, search the site and look at other people's profiles. You only have to get a paid membership if you want to contact someone directly.

Sadly, there are no additional features to the site. Some kind of chat rooms and/or instant messaging would have been nice. Even some user forums or blogs would be cool, but this site lacks all of that. It is a bare-bones style site that focuses on the profiles.

I rated this site on the lower end because of its lack of extra features and the fact that the very local aspect of the site makes it a site most people will not have much use for. If you do live in the general area of the school then you should do yourself a favor and check this one out. It has a nice amount of members all local to you so your chances of meeting someone is pretty good. If you don't, it is probably best just to find a different site.
