Soul Singles is a dating site that is focused on people of African American descent. While you don't have to be black to use the site, most of the members are so if you are not black you need to love black people. The site has a smooth, easy to use design and some nice solid search features. Signing up was kind of a pain though. To get a free membership you have to go through a pretty detailed process and fill out a lot of information. I don't like that. I like to be able to get inside the site and check it out to see if I want to use it before spending a bunch of time filling out a profile.

The main feature of this site is its search engines. You can do a basic search which allows you to search people by age and distance from you. There is an advanced search that will better match you with people based on how you answer the different questions in your profile. So if you do decide to use the site you will want to take the time to fully fill in the profile. Your free membership will let you search the site and browse the profiles. You only have to pay if you want to send someone a message.

If the site is lacking in any one area it is that they have no real bonus features. Many dating sites feature chat rooms and discussion forums, but this site doesn't have any of that stuff. That said, there are still a good amount of users, some nice search features and the site is easy to use so it is still worth checking out for people who are looking to meet African American people.
