If you are a single student, alumni or friend of Louisiana State University then Tiger Singles is the site for you. Tiger Singles is a dating site that focuses on those involved with LSU, but you don't have to be involved with the school in order to use this site. There are over 5,000 members and almost all of them live in the general area of the school so if you don't live in that area then chances are there will be no users near you. This makes the site very local in nature, but for the right people it is well worth checking out.

I found signing up for the free membership to be very quick and easy. As you sign up you are given the option of filling out all the details for your profile or skipping them and filling them in later. I skipped it and like being given the option. It allows to me to check out the site and see what it has to offer before I spend a lot of time on my profile. With so many members in one area it could be hard to find anyone you like, but this site has a couple of good search tools to help you narrow it down. The basic search option allows you to choose a distance from you and an age range and filters your results with those criteria. The more advanced search, called Smart Match, takes the information from your profile and uses it to match you with like-minded people. If you chose not to fill in these details when you signed up you will need to go back and do that before the Smart Match will work correctly. Sadly, the search tools are the only real features in this site. There are no chat rooms, user forums or any other types of options.

In the end I did give this site a low score simply because most of the people out there will not live in the correct area and will have little use for the site. However, those that do live near the university should ignore what I have said and give it a good look. You can create a profile, search the members and look at other user profiles with your free membership. You only have to get a paid membership if you want to contact someone directly. This gives you a good chance to check the site out and see if it will work for you without spending a dime. With this many members in one area you are bound to find someone you are into.
