Trojan Singles is a dating site that focuses on the students, alumni, friends and faculty of the University of Southern California. This is one of those sites that some people will find very useful and others will find utterly useless. The reason for this is that it is very location specific. Almost all of the members live in the Los Angeles area. So if you are in that area or are affiliated with USC, the site could be something you really like. If you don't live in that area, then you will probably have little or no use for this site.

The site does look good and signing up for the free membership is something that is quick and very easy to do. The profiles in this site are detailed, but they don't force you to fill in all that detail as you sign up. Once inside the only real option is to search through the profiles. You can do a basic search which allows you to search by age range and distance from you. You can also do an advanced search called Super Match which uses the details from your profiles to match you with others. There are about 800 men and 400 women with profiles in the site. There are no chat rooms, instant message options, user forums or any other kind of features.

My score on the site is reflective of how useful the average person would find this site. While most people will find the site too small and too location specific to be of any real use to them, those that are affiliated with USC or live in that area may find the site to be really useful. If you fit in that group then I encourage you to ignore my rating and give the site a try. It is free to sign up and you can browse the profiles for free. You only have to get a paid membership if you want to contact someone directly so you are out nothing to give it a shot.
