Splashed in Cougar colors WSU Singles is a good looking dating site that is directed primarily towards the single students, staff, alumni and friends of Washington State University. This is not to say you can't use the site if you are not in one of the aforementioned groups, but I must explain that almost all of the members of this site live in and around the university. So if you aren't in the general area of this school then you won't have any members living near you and the site is basically useless to you.

For those that are in the correct area, you will find the site to be very easy to sign up for. As you sign up you are filling in your profile, but they let you skip most of the detail and fill it in later if you want. The site is very easy to use and has a nice, simple design. With around 1,200 members you will want to use the search tools to help narrow down the list of people you are interested in. The basic search tool allows you to select a distance (down to within five miles of your zip code) and an age range and it uses those criteria to filter the results. The advanced search, called Smart Match, will take the information and details from your profile and use them to match you with people of similar interests. If you didn't fill in all these details when you signed up you will need to go back and do that before the Smart Match will work correctly. You can search the site, create your profile and look at other people's profiles with your free membership. You only need to get a paid membership if you want to contact people directly.

I did decide to rate this site on the lower end for a couple of reasons. The main reason is the very local nature of the site. Those not living in the area (which will be most people) will have little use for the site. The other reason is that the site also lacks any kind of interactive features. There are no chat rooms, instant messaging or anything like that. However, if you are affiliated with the school or you do live in the general area of it, then I suggest you do give it a try. Since all of the members will be local to you then odds are in your favor that you will find someone you like. Since you can try it out for free, you are out nothing to give it a look.
